Atolls by elections issue of writs passed
The issue of writs for the by elections for the Atolls Constituency has been passed this afternoon at the Bougainville House of Representatives (BHoR), Buka, Bougainville. This now begins the election process for the Atolls seat. Mr. George Manu, Electoral Commissioner for the Office of the Bougainville Electoral Commission (OBEC) handed the issue of writs to the Speaker, Mr. Simon Pentanu who officically signed and authorised the elections for the Atolls by election process to begin.

- Nominations: 23 to 29 August 2021
- Polling open: 18 October 2021
- Polling close: 20 October 2021
- Counting: 22 October 2021
