Grand Chief visits AROB
Together they united a nation of many tribes with over 700 hundred languages in a friendship that has lasted for more than forty years.
That bond in friendship remains stronger than ever to this day.
One is regarded as the Father of the Nation, Grand Chief Sir Michael Thomas Somare while the other is the Father of the Papua New Guinea Constitution, Grand Chief John Lawrence Momis.

Sir Michael’s trip to Bougainville is part of his farewell and thanksgiving to the people of the nation as well as to open the ABG Presidential Villa in Buka.
In a small but significant ceremony Sir Michael was quietly welcomed into the region by the President, Bougainville national MP’s, ABG Ministers and Members.
