Statement on appointments of ABG Secretaries
The Bougainville Senior Appointments Committee has confirmed the appointment of thirteen new persons for the Heads of Departments and the Chief Secretary’s position in the Bougainville Public Service.
The BSAC made the appointments following a selection process that involved a third party recruitment firm that shortlisted candidates for the senior public servant positions within the Bougainville Public Service.
The BSAC then made the appointment from the shortlist through an assessment of the candidates strengths and weaknesses.
The BSAC which is chaired by President Hon. Ishmael Toroama met last week to finalize the appointments of these positions.
The names of the persons appointed to the positions will be released later in the week. This will be followed by a swearing in ceremony for the respective Secretaries and the Chief Secretary.
