The first of its kind Bougainville Trade and Investment Conference is underway at the Sharp Memorial Youth Center in Arawa.
Representatives from the government's economic sector, trade and economic experts, business sector representatives including development partners have come together on Day 1 of the Conference.
Discussions and presentations throughout Day 1 of the Conference will focus on 'Narrowing the Fiscal Gap'.
This morning's session included the welcome by ABG Minister for Commerce Trade and Economic Development, the ABG President's key note address and presentations from Professor Satish Chand from the University of New South Wales, Mr Erwin Pouru from PNG's National Economic and Fiscal Commission and Professor Chalapan Kaluwin from the University of Papua New Guinea.
There are also information booths set up outside the Sharp Memorial Youth Center and the public are encouraged to visit these information booths.
