Congratulatory Message to Member Elect for South Bougainville Veterans
I am delighted to congratulate the Member elect for South Bougainville Veterans, Robert Kevau on his election into office.
Mr. Kevau has a good record as a veteran of the Bougainville Civil War and as a peace maker and educator in the post conflict era of the Bougainville Peace Process.
I have no doubt that Mr. Kevau has the experience and the vision to represent the interests and aspirations of our veterans in South Boug and our region.
As the President of the Autonomous Region of Bougainville, I look forward to working with him to advance our political dialogue with Papua New Guinea and to achieve our ultimate goal of independence. I also hope to collaborate with him to promote economic development, social justice, and good governance in our region through our veterans who are a key stakeholder in our journey to Independence.
You have the trust and the support of the people of South Bougainville and the entire Bougainville. I urge you to use your mandate wisely and responsibly, and to uphold the values and principles of our Constitution and our Peace Agreement.
Once again, congratulations on your election and welcome to the Bougainville House of Representatives.
